South Dakota Abortion Battle

Alan Keyes spent 11 years in the State Department, served in the U.S. Foreign Service and on the staff of the National Security Council before becoming Ronald Reagan's ambassador to the U.N.'s Economic and Social Council. These are just a few of the achievements of this great statesman who appeared on Crosstalk to discuss the abortion battle in South Dakota.
The Sioux Falls newspaper, The Argus Leader, is conducting a poll that asks the following question: Is it appropriate for clergy to preach about how to vote on ballot issues?
Dr. Keyes felt that this question represents intimidation from those who believe the lie that religion must be kept out of politics; as though those who have faith shaped consciences should stay away from the polls.
Dr. Keyes explains the federal and state responsibilities regarding the free expression of religion, and how the Constitution's security of the blessings of liberty to our posterity (future generations) shows that even the unborn must be given the equal right to life.
Also mentioned was an online poll from The Daily Republic, the newpaper in Mitchell, SD.
