The first news item of importance on this edition of Crosstalk concerns a Newsweek magazine article that mentions Rick Warren and the increasing backlash against the megachurch movement.
Vic Eliason then moves to the main topic of discussion that revolves around an ABC News article about a book entitled, Tempting Faith: An Inside Story of Political Seduction by David Kuo. Mr. Kuo is the former deputy director of the White House Office of Faith Based Initiatives. His book alleges that Christian evangelicals were misused by Republicans to obtain votes in the past election.
Vic read the article and then challenged Crosstalk listeners with the following questions: Will you look at things differently in the next election? What do you think is going to happen to the Republican party if they continue to compromise further on abortion and homosexuality? Would you vote for a third party?
