-Kofi Annan warns of global war over religions and that only the United Nations can solve the problem.
-Preacher in the Gaza Strip not impressed by Pope's retraction over recent comments regarding Islam and calls for holy war.
-3 Indonesian Christian men executed by firing squad.
-Principal of Texas elementary school instructs students to stand during a recitation of a pledge to the Mexican flag during a diversity assembly.
-Undocumented alien causes crash that kills Colorado teacher.
-Georgia judge rules voter I.D. law unconstitutional.
-Salina, Kansas school district suspends teacher for using the same lancet to draw blood from approximately 2 dozen students.
-House approves plan that would enlist as many as 700,000 state and local law enforcement officers in the battle to fight the surge of 80,000 violent criminals on American streets.
-Since 2003, the Census Bureau has lost 217 laptop computers, 46 portable data storage devices and 15 hand held devices used by survey takers.
-Previously cancelled World Pride parade event to take place in Jerusalem on November 10th.
-NBC to air Madonna special that mocks the crucifixion.
-London TV to show crucifixion documentary that uses a human corpse.
-The pro-homosexual Human Rights Campaign reports that an unprecedented 138 major U.S. corporations earned their top rating.
-Maine couple forcibly kidnapped their 19 year old daughter and attempted to take her to New York to have her obtain an abortion.
-An abortion ban is up for a vote in November in South Dakota. In spite of a travel boycott called for by abortion advocates against that state, tourism appears to have increased.
