Bethel Missons of India
| Host: | Ingrid Schlueter |
| Guest: | James Punnoose |
| Listen: | RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD |
Ingrid began this Crosstalk commenting on how astounded she is concerning America's wealth and the way it is playing out in churches as we begin the 21st century. She gave an example of a cyber-tour she recently took of a new 65 million dollar, 7,000 seat church in Texas.
On the other end of the ministry spectrum is Bethel Missions headed by James Punnoose. James and his wife Dally began this orphanage ministry with seven children in 1994. It is now comprised of six homes in different locations housing over 300 children.
Children at the orphanage come from situations where their parents have died from contracting cholera, malaria, tuberculosis or snake bite. Most are malnourished. Because of the tribal background of the children, they must also be taught new language skills.
After highlighting the various needs of Bethel Missions, callers showed their encouragement for James as he carries on for Christ among some of the poorest in India.
