Listen:RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD

Jim Schneider opened this edition of Crosstalk with the latest news regarding a thwarted terrorist plot; a plot that authorities claim appears to have the fingerprints of Al Quaida. The goal was to allegedly cause mass murder by blowing up jet liners flying from England to America.

This led to the introduction of guest Annie Jacobson, a previous guest on Crosstalk. Jacobsen is the author of the book, Terror in the Skies: Could 9-11 Happen Again?

This book details a flight experience Jacobsen had in December 2004. On this flight she noticed 14 Syrian men acting suspicious. She believes they were performing a rehearsal for a future terrorist attack.

Today's thwarted plot emphasizes the importance of Jacobson's testimony. In fact, she discusses how she's received similar stories from pilots and air marshals about other terrorist "dry runs".

Jacobson also discusses the Islamic calendar and the important dates Islamic fundamentalists may use for terrorist strikes, how bomber screening should take place via behavioral screening as opposed to racial profiling, the move to discredit her story, and more.
