Host:Vic Eliason
Guest:Chaplain Klingenschmitt
Listen:RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD

The first half of the program dealt with various news items, including:

-Women's Services PC, Omaha, Nebraska's only abortion clinic, has closed.

-By purchasing the building that housed an abortion clinic, Operation Rescue was able to turn Central Women's Services in Witchita, Kansas, into a memorial to the preborn.

-ABC News is reporting that a Christian archaeological team believes it has found Noah's Ark.

The second half of the program featured guest Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, who had appeared on Crosstalk on May 1st, to discuss his case of discrimination for praying in the name of Jesus. On this program he brought an update informing listeners that the top Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) has ruled that it was proper for his commanding officer to punish him for quoting the Bible in the chapel at an optional attendance worship service.

Action Points

Contact the following officials concerning the importance of being able to pray according to the dictates of one's own religious faith, including Christians praying "in Jesus' Name", and especially that military chaplains will regain the right not only to pray but to preach their faith, and read pertinent Scripture passages, in religious services with voluntary attendance--something that increasingly is being banned by regulations in the various branches of our military.
