Mat Staver is the founder and president of Liberty Counsel in Orlando, Florida.
On the April 27th Crosstalk, Mat Staver described how Palm Beach County, Florida was proposing a zoning ordinance designed to limit the size of churches based upon the number of seats throughout all church building areas. Mat's update mentioned a call from an assistant to one of the board commissioners saying that the size restriction ordinance would be stripped.
Also noted was a situation in Bedford County, Virginia. The county has no problem with ranchers, cattle and livestock owners holding their livestock auctions, yet don't want to allow these same people to use the same facility for worship.
In Osceola County, Florida, officials are not allowing a church ministry that reaches out to men with drug issues to discuss how Jesus is the solution.
