America's Blood Supply Revisited
| Host: | Vic Eliason |
| Listen: | RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD |
Vic Eliason returned with more information on yesterday's topic dealing with the safety of the blood supply and the homosexual factor.
Specifically, Vic noted how, according to a March 18th, Washington Post article, the Food and Drug Adminstration is considering revising its policy that currently bans blood donations from any man who has had sex with another man dating back to 1977. The change in policy is being recommended by the American Red Cross, American Association of Blood Banks and America's Blood Centers.
Vic urged callers to give their views as to why these blood centers are advocating another layer of liability by their openness to the possibility of accepting blood donations from the homosexual community.
