Seven Last Words

Rev. Mark Wangerin is a pastor at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
In honor of Good Friday, each of the "Seven Last Words of Christ" spoken from the cross were considered, along with the symbolism of the Tenebrae Good Friday services that end in total darkness except for one candle that signifies the light of Christ, and the promised resurrection.
In the last segment, the words of "O Sacred Head Now Wounded" were read, and it was then sung in German.
