Regina Franklin is a pastor's wife, mother, and author of the book, Who Calls Me Beautiful?.
Women want to be affirmed, loved, cherished and cared for. They sometimes try to satisfy this by appealing to the flesh and being provocative because this draws people. This is an appealing option because our world idolizes the flesh and images of the beautiful. Women can buy that message or separate themselves from it. The latter option is biblical because Scripture teaches that the beauty of this world fades.
Women can't worship the beauty of this world and God. Why? Because as Romans 8:6 says, "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
It's from this perspective that Regina Franklin brought a message of hope for women at a VCY America rally in May, 2005 called, The Power of Godly Beauty.
