Tom Schatz is the President of Citizens Against Government Waste.
Sadly, "pork barrel" spending continues to be a favorite activity of our elected officials. Although the number of projects is down, the dollar amounts are up. Nonetheless, there are still over 9,000 such projects in existence and Tom hits some of the highlights on this edition of Crosstalk.
Tom's list includes an International Fund for Ireland and their plans for the World Toilet Summit, 6 million dollars for wood utilization research, shrimp aquaculture research in Arizona, a Sparta, North Carolina pea pod museum, and 325 million for the Arctic Winter Games in Alaska.
