Jim Jacobson is the President of Christian Freedom International, an organization that helps persecuted Christians.
One example is Abdul Rahman of Afghanistan who didn't receive an offer of asylum from the United States government. This is rather surprising when you consider the fact that we have over 20,000 soldiers in Afghanistan, spend over 4 billion dollars a year there and helped them draft a new constitution.
The discussion on this Crosstalk points out America's apathetic stance toward those seeking asylum; an apathy that may be based on a fear of offending those of other faiths or even non-faiths. This goes against our nation's history, a history built upon the welcoming of Christian asylum seekers; individuals who were seeking freedom to worship the God of the Bible.
