Randy Thomason is President of the Campaign for Children and Families.
Jim and Randy discussed specific bills such as Senate Bill 1437. This bill, currently in the California state senate, would prohibit textbooks, instructional materials and school sponsored activities from reflecting adversely on transexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality. It would require positive portrayals of these lifestyles in curriculums as low as Kindergarten.
Assembly Bill 606 would allow the state schools chief to remove two-thirds of the funds of any school district that did not adequately promote homosexuality, bisexuality or transsexuality according to his arbitrary standards.
Assembly Bill 1056 would force 10 California schools to have a tolerance program.
